This is a companion slideshow for my post entitled 7 Variants Destined For Future Classic Cover Status, showing example cover swipes that were discussed in the post, in a side-by-side format, with the original (“classic”) at the left of each slide, and the example cover swipe at the right. Being cover-swiped proved to be an excellent “test” as a marker for Spider-Man #1 and Amazing Spider-Man #300 both being on a track of future “Classic Cover” destiny (they were recently denoted as such by PGX), so thinking about other examples of noteworthy comic book covers that have been “swiped” at a later date, can help collectors pencil down a list of future classic cover contenders. If creators are taking the time to swipe the original, there must be something pretty important about it!
